Many Players Await Clearance

It's not just Bumrah! Other players, including Sanju Samson, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan, are also waiting for approval from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Every one of them wants to be ready for IPL Season 18.

What's Happening with Bumrah?

Among India's best bowlers, Bumrah was injured in Sydney during a major Test match in January. He hurt his back and has been getting special treatment at the NCA in Bengaluru.

He is being personally taken care of by top expert Nitin Patel. The good news is that Bumrah might be ready at the end of March! But will he be fit enough to participate in Mumbai Indians (MI)'s first game?

When Might Bumrah Play?

• March 23 vs Chennai Super Kings – First match for Mumbai Indians (maybe too early for Bumrah!).

• March 29 against Gujarat Titans – Second match; still unclear!

• March 31 at Kolkata Knight Riders – Possible comeback, first home game.

Bumrah might join the team earlier, but he might not travel to the first two games. Mumbai Indians followers will have to wait and see!

Sanju Samson's Recovery - Almost Ready!

Sanju Samson, the captain of Rajasthan Royals, got hurt while playing against England. He damaged his right index finger and had to have surgery. The good news is he has passed the fitness test for batting!

But wait - there's one more thing! Sanju also plays wicketkeeper; thus, he must show he can safely keep wickets. 

In the next few days, he will take some additional tests. If he clears them, he will be ready to play.

Can Rajasthan Royals Manage Without Sanju?

Should Sanju not be 100% fit, Rajasthan Royals have Dhruv Jurel, who can be the wicketkeeper.

• First match – March 23 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (Sanju may play!)

What About the Bowlers from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)?

Three of the fast bowlers on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team are not entirely fit, which worries them. These players are:

• Mayank Yadav (Back ailment – out since October 2024!)

• Avesh Khan (Knee issue; injected and is healing!).

• Mohsin Khan (Mystery injury – hasn't played since December 2024!)

Will They Play in the IPL?

Sources say at least two of them might be fit before LSG's first match on March 24 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. 

Since all three are absolutely vital to their bowling attack, the team expects all three will be ready!

Final Thoughts – What Should One Expect?

• Bumrah – Might play from March 31.

• Sanju Samson – Almost ready, waiting for wicketkeeping clearance.
