Lithium solar batteries rarely catch fire when installed correctly, but the risk isn't zero. LiFePO4 cells resist thermal runaway far better than other lithium ion chemistries, while lead acid batteries face a different hazard: hydrogen gas buildup that needs real ventilation. A proper battery management system, safe placement away from heat, and spacing between units matter more than chemistry alone for keeping any solar battery setup safe.
