CFB 27 Expands Alabama Depth With U4N Following the Changes

The latest EA Sports College Football 27 roster update gives Alabama one of its most significant improvements since launch. When the game arrived on July 9, just 49 Crimson Tide players were included, with many freshmen and several returning contributors still absent. EA's new update adds 28 Alabama players as part of a much larger release involving more than 1,900 athletes. That expanded roster gives CFB 27 Coins users more options to consider when building and adjusting their teams.

The newly added Alabama players include Lotzeir Brooks, EJ Crowell, Xavier Griffin, and several other names that fans expected to see. EA has also provided ratings for the additions, making it possible to compare the new players with those who were already available. The result is a far more complete Alabama roster with impressive talent across multiple positions.

New Quarterbacks Give Players Choices

Alabama now has four quarterbacks available. Keelon Russell and Austin Mack are tied at 82 overall, while Jett Thomalla is rated 73 and Tayden-Evan Kaawa comes in at 71.

The two 82-rated quarterbacks provide the most immediate competition for users deciding how they want to run Alabama's offense. Their similar ratings mean players may want to look beyond overall numbers and focus on individual attributes and playstyle.

The additional quarterbacks also give the roster greater depth. In a game where player preferences can vary significantly, having more options is always useful.

Running Back Depth Gets A Boost

The running back position has also become significantly deeper. Daniel Hill leads the group with an 83 rating, while AK Dear, EJ Crowell, and Kevin Riley each receive 82.

Khalifa Keith is rated 79, and Trae'shawn Brown has a 72. The top four backs are separated by only one overall point, creating an unusually competitive group.

EJ Crowell's addition is particularly noteworthy. Since he was not included at launch, his arrival changes the options available to Alabama users and gives the roster another player rated within the low 80s.

High-Rated Receivers Stand Out

Alabama's receiving corps features some of the strongest offensive ratings on the team. Ryan Coleman-Williams leads at 91 overall, followed by Lotzeir Brooks at 87 and Noah Rogers at 84.

Cederian Morgan is rated 80, while Derek Meadows sits at 76. Rico Scott and Aubrey Walker both receive 74, Tyler Henderson has 71, and Maurice Mathis Jr. is rated 67.

The presence of multiple highly rated receivers makes Alabama particularly appealing for passing-focused players. Brooks' 87 rating gives the team another strong option alongside Coleman-Williams.

Elite Defensive Backs Define The Team

The strongest concentration of ratings may be found in Alabama's secondary. Bray Hubbard leads the entire roster with an exceptional 94 rating.

Zabien Brown follows at 92, Keon Sabb is rated 90, and Dijon Lee receives 88. Several additional defensive backs sit between 74 and 82, creating substantial depth.

These numbers make Alabama an appealing choice for players who prefer aggressive defensive strategies. A secondary featuring several elite players can support coverage-heavy schemes while also creating opportunities for turnovers.

The Front Seven Adds More Strength

The defensive front is also well represented. Yhonzae Pierre is rated 91, Jah-Marien Latham receives 85, and Devan Thompkins and Kedrick Bingley-Jones both sit at 84.

Edric Hill, London Simmons, and Terrance Green are each rated 82, while several additional players fill out the group.

At linebacker, Caleb Woodson leads at 83 and Xavier Griffin enters at 80. The expanded depth should give players more flexibility when adjusting defensive formations.

A Bigger Roster Creates More Possibilities

The Alabama update is more than a simple increase in player count. It gives users a much broader range of options for experimenting with lineups, formations, and playstyles.

For players exploring the game's Ultimate Team market, cheap CFB Coins can be another consideration when developing a competitive roster. The updated Alabama lineup makes it easier for fans to identify players who fit particular strategies and positions.

With nearly 80 Alabama players now available, the Crimson Tide feels substantially closer to a complete representation of the program. The update should be especially welcome for fans who were disappointed by the limited roster at launch.

More Alabama Updates Could Follow

EA's roster system allows ratings and player availability to evolve as the season progresses. That means the current Alabama lineup may not remain unchanged for long.

For now, the latest update provides a strong foundation. Alabama has elite defensive backs, highly rated receivers, deep running back options, and several promising players across the front seven. The expanded roster should give College Football 27 players plenty of new combinations to test.
