QuickBooks desktop 2016 Release 7 and later

If you are using QuickBooks desktop 2016 R7, then in that case you don’t have to update to the latest version, as it is very much compatible with windows 10.

QuickBooks desktop 2015 and 2016

QuickBooks desktop 2015 and 2016 is compatible with windows 10 only when there is .Net framework 3.5 is present. The said framework gets updated to higher version, when windows 10 updates are installed. It should be noted that QB desktop 2015 faces certain compatibility issues with windows 10, when .net framework is either missing or disabled. Steps to enable .NET 3.5 for QuickBooks desktop 2015:

·         The user should first click on the start tab on the screen or start key on the keyboard and then look for the option that states turn windows features on or off

·         After that, click on the same

·         The user will then find an option .NET framework 3.5 as well as .NET framework 4.5

·         Once done with that, the user should ensure that the option is enabled. In case the user finds out the option as disabled, then the user should enable it by clicking on the checkbox

QuickBooks desktop 2014 and earlier

QB 2014 or earlier versions aren’t compatible with windows 10, which requires updating the QuickBooks software immediately.
