I am a UI designer and I understand how important it is for me to continually improve my knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to remain competitive.

During my journey I have gained valuable experience. In my journey to become a better designer, I have also discovered many resources and techniques that I hope will help you.

It includes everything, from building a strong design foundation to asking feedback and sharing your online work.

I believe you can improve UI Design by incorporating the practices into your workflow, and creating more visually attractive and effective designs.

1. Building a strong design foundation

I had some experience in graphic design when I started my career as a UI designer. But I quickly realized that I needed to learn more to be able to create amazing designs.

I have learned to use typography in order to create hierarchy.

I learned about the importance of grids in creating visual harmony.

Read Human Interface Guidelines and Material guidelines. Don't just jump to the UI screen design section.

By mastering design theories, you can create designs which are more user-friendly and cohesive as well as visually appealing.

Question and pay attention

Most of the time, we are not paying attention to them. Most of the time, they're in automatic mode.

Recently, I started paying more attention to apps I use. I started to ask why this component was used and not another.

Appshorts and Mobbin are excellent for viewing the complete UI design. This is a great tool to learn how apps are made.

To learn how to pay attention to details in UI design I began analyzing similar products and found out what made them successful. Then I studied design principles such as typography, color theory, and layout.

By using these principles, I designed interfaces that are more visually appealing and coherent.

By focusing on the details, you can elevate your design and create a pleasant user experience.

3. Daily UI

The daily UI challenge has been a game changer in terms of improving my design skills. By setting aside time every day to work on a UI task, I was able to step outside my comfort zone and try out new styles and techniques.

I was able to keep up with design trends by tackling a daily UI challenge. It also allowed me to create an online portfolio showcasing my design skills.

Daily UI tasks helped me develop a discipline and routine. When you're busy with the day-to-day duties of a position, it can be easy to forget your design skills. Over time I improved my UI skills by developing a daily design habit.

By tackling UI challenges every day, I was able to stay on top of design trends and incorporate them into my own work. It also helped me build a portfolio to show off my design skills.
