Why is my printer printing lines? – How to Fix

If you're getting lines on your printed documents, It's because something is wrong with your printer. Here are some common reasons why printer print lines and how to fix this problem.
What causes a printer printing lines?
There are a number of reasons for your printer printing lines:-.
1. If your printer has a paper jam, it might be printing lines to help you find the problem.
2. If you have changed paper type or size, the printer may be trying to tell you that it doesn't have the right paper loaded in.
3. If you have changed the paper orientation or size, this can also cause lines to appear on your page.
4. A faulty ink cartridge may cause lines to appear in your printouts and usually these will be vertical lines running down the page from left to right.
How to fix a printer printing or skipping lines?
To solve this problem you can follow these steps:-
1. Check the printer for any obvious problems. For example, if you see a paper jam or broken belt, clear it or replace it as necessary to fix the lines in printing.
2. Try to restart the printer by turning off the printer from the power supply for 30 seconds and afterward plug back in.
3. Open the cover of the printer and remove the old cartridge by pulling it straight out and then take a wet paper towel and clean the cartridges properly.
4. Next, check to see if there is any excess ink around where the old cartridges sat in their holders (if there isn’t any excess ink then this means there was plenty of ink left in those cartridges).
