This combination of strong demand and higher production costs allowed suppliers to maintain firm pricing during most of the quarter.
Although market conditions started showing signs of stabilization toward the end of June, prices remained significantly above earlier levels. Freight conditions improved gradually after geopolitical tensions eased, allowing shipping activity to recover. However, higher feedstock values continued supporting elevated replacement costs, preventing any major decline in market prices.
Another important factor supporting the market was disciplined inventory management throughout the supply chain. Rather than building excessive inventories, many buyers focused on securing sufficient material for production while avoiding unnecessary stock accumulation.
