ECI to announce Parliamentary poll schedule on Saturday, model code to come into force immediately
Election Commission of India is all set to announce poll schedule for the Parliamentary election in a presser at 3 pm on March 16.
With the announcement of the poll schedule, the model code of conduct will come into force.
It need be mentioned that PM Modi led selection committee appointed Gyanesh Kumar and Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu as the two Election Commissioners, who took charge today at the ECI.
The elections will be held in five to seven phases according to sources with states like Chhattisgarh covered in two phases.
