What is IELTS?

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. Given the fact that English is a widely spoken language, the system is acknowledged globally as a standardized test. Many people have put their trust in it to help them achieve their academic, professional, and personal objectives. It is divided into four modules, namely reading, writing, listening, and speaking. It is further divided into two modules: academic and general training. In both modules, the speaking and listening exams are identical, whereas the reading and writing exams are not.

1. IELTS Reading Test: During the 60-minute reading test, candidates are provided with a text from which they have responded to questions about it. There are 13 question types on the IELTS general exam and 14 on the IELTS academic exam. Some examples of the questions might include matching headings and features, locating information, short answer questions, diagram labeling, true or false or not given, finishing the notes and summary, matching sentence endings, finishing the table, responding in the affirmative or negative, finishing the sentence, and finishing the flowchart.

2. IELTS Listening Module: The IELTS Listening Module assesses a candidate's ability to understand native-speaker conversation. The audio is only played once for the candidate, and one is provided with 30 minutes to respond to the 40 questions in sequence. One is provided with ten minutes to complete the response form. Here, four audio tracks will be performed.

3. IELTS Writing Test: There are two sections to the writing module each of 30 minutes in total 60 miutes. The general exam and academic exam differ in terms of the first task. The second task on both exams is the same. The assignment is judged on four factors: vocabulary, linguistic resources, grammatical range and accuracy, and coherence and cohesiveness. One is taught how to compose a high-brand essay by our IELTS training centers in Chandigarh. Professional guidance is provided to the examiners for the desired results.

4. IELTS Speaking Exam: The IELTS speaking test takes place on a different day in the presence of an examiner. Discussion on various topics is held for about 12–15 minutes with the evaluator in person.  The oral presentation consists of three sections. One is evaluated on four different aspects of your speech in the speaking section, namely, fluency and coherence, lexical resource, grammatical variety and accuracy, and pronunciation.
