The Linksys extender has default details that you need to use for its first-time login and setup. But, after completing the Linksys range extender setup and login processes, you must change the default credentials. That’s for safety purposes and by which your network will be safe from unauthorized access. As the default login password is easy to guess there can be some unwanted users on the network. So, after setting up your extender or while doing that, access the advanced settings of the extender from the web interface. Then, click on the Security Settings and again click on the network password option. Set a new password by adding some special, numeric, and upper-lower characters to it. Additionally, enable the WPA2 or WPA3 from the settings which is the most powerful security encryption. Finally, connect your devices to the network using the updated password.
