Introduction

India, being a third-world country, often faces many challenges to maintain the rhythm of life. A major percentage of the huge population does not even get the chance to live a quality life. Several places in this country are crowded with impecunious people who are deprived of the standard means of living. They frequently suffer from the lack of food, clothes, shelter, and even proper treatment. However, in such scenarios, the most sufferers are the children belonging to this area. Along with all the inadequacy, they also lack proper education. Where education is the key to everything, most of the children in India do not get a chance to start their education due to their economic conditions. Keeping this serious situation in mind, the Samarpan Foundation in Delhi took a righteous initiative to make a path for underprivileged children. They came up with the idea of giving free education to those children and supporting them to make a bright future.

Standpoint of this Initiative

The Samarpan Foundation believes that Knowledge is the key to everything. To become a knowledgeable person, one must have a proper education. This foundation understands the need for children's education very well, as the children and the youth represent the country. When wisdom is free, so should education. This decent perspective of the Samarpan Foundation has made them take a huge initiative for child education.

Commencement of this Project

Where one part of Delhi highlights the cultural heritage and luxurious lifestyle, another part of it shows the darkest reality of our country. Kishangarh, a small village near the Vasant Kunj area of Delhi is the home to many underprivileged families where the children lack the opportunity to have basic education. Witnessing such a situation, the foundation came up with the idea of starting a school at Kishangarh, to provide basic education to the children. This was the beginning of their plan. Eventually, they started providing education to the children of that area, which led them to start schools in many other areas as well. For example, they started tuition centers in Kotla, a School and tuition center in Hathi Basti, a School in Aya Nagar, and many more. Currently, they have taken responsibility for more than 600 students and are trying their best to provide those children with basic education.

Areas the Samarpan Foundation Focuses On

A healthy mind works more actively with a fit body. Keeping this in mind, the Samarpan Foundation takes care of other basic things for the children, along with education.

• Food & Nutrition – Your mind cannot work actively if your body is not healthy. This is why; the Samarpan looks after the food & nutrition of the children. In the Kishangarh School, the children are provided with mid-day meals regularly keeping the basic nutrition in mind. Snacks and cooked foods are also provided in the coaching centers and other schools.

• Medical Camps – Along with the food & nutrition, the foundation keeps an eye on the health checkups of the children. Medical camps are arranged frequently to inspect if the children are having any disease or not. Even if they are diagnosed with anything, all the necessary medications are also provided.

• Fun Activities – Education without fun activities becomes boring sometimes. Different types of fun activity sessions are arranged quite often, to keep the children positively motivated. These fun activities not only entertain them but also bring out the creative side of them. The children are often found enjoying taking part in these activities.

A step to make a beautiful present results in making a beautiful future. With these little steps, the Samarpan Foundation is assisting the children to make a better and secure future for them. The Samarpan considers education as the sharpest weapon to conquer any battle in life and every child has the right to learn the use of such a weapon.
