Daichi Kamada's move to Crystal Palace has been finalized.

Fabrizio Romano, a journalist familiar with European soccer news, tweeted on Monday (June 19), "Kamada has signed a two-year contract to become the new Palace player. The medical has been completed. He will sign as a free agent. The announcement is planned for early July."

Kamada is a Japanese midfielder. He spent his youth career with Gamba Osaka and made his professional debut with Sagan Doss. After two years of experience, he joined Frankfurt in the summer transfer window of the 2017-18 season.

His first season with the club was marked by adaptation problems. He was given a chance to play at the beginning of the season but failed to impress and was often dropped from the roster. Eventually, he opted to go out on loan. He went on loan to Belgian side Sint-Truidijn VV to gain experience in Europe.

After regaining his confidence on loan, Kamada gradually gained playing time, especially in the 2020-21 season, when he became one of the team's main midfielders with 19 points (5 goals, 14 assists) in 32 Bundesliga games. In the 2021-22 season, he played in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) first round and helped the team win the title.

Kamada's biggest strength is his versatility. He can play in all areas of the second line, has a wide range of vision, and is adept at playing the Japanese style of passing. His dribbling is concise and his kicking is also praised. He has the ability to penetrate and finish in space as an attacking midfielder or as a playmaker in central midfield, making him a versatile resource with eight colors.

After four seasons with Frankfurt, Kamada left the club as a free agent last summer. His new destination was Lazio. At the time, Lazio had a hole in their midfield following the departure of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and they brought Kamada in to fill it.

Fierce competition for the starting role. Kamada spent the first half of his time at Lazio fighting for a starting role, but found his feet in the 바카라사이트 second half and finished the season with two goals and two assists in 29 league appearances. Re-signing discussions took place. Kamada initially signed a one-year plus one-year (option to extend) deal with Lazio.

At the end of the season, a renewal was discussed. Kamada's camp demanded a one-year contract extension and a €2.5 million bonus. "Kamada reiterated his desire to re-sign, but as the deadline approached, another round of negotiations resumed," Lazio news outlet La Lazio Siamo Nol explained.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito was furious: "I'm tired of players who think they can blackmail us. We only want players who want to play in a Lazio shirt," he said.

"Kamada is set to join Palace after talks with Lazio over a new contract broke down over a release clause," Romano reported last month. Glassner contacted him after working with him at Eintracht."

Meanwhile, Kamada will become the 14th Japanese player to wear a Palace shirt. Other Japanese players currently playing in the Premier League include Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal), Wataru Endo (Liverpool), and Daiki Hashioka (Luton Town).
