Kangana Ranaut Refutes Claims of Eating Beef as Netizens Uncover Her Past Tweets

Kangana Ranaut has recently denied allegations that she consumes beef, emphasizing her dedication to a vegetarian lifestyle, which she associates with her identity as a “proud Hindu.” This clarification followed remarks made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar during a rally, where he pointed out that she was awarded a BJP ticket despite her previous social media comments about eating beef.
In response, Kangana took to Twitter to label the claims as unfounded attempts to damage her reputation. Nevertheless, many netizens remain skeptical, bringing up an old tweet in which she suggested that there is no harm in eating beef, thereby reigniting the controversy.
“I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me, I have been advocating and promoting yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now such tactics won’t work to tarnish my image. My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram,” she said.
Following Kangana’s statement, netizens swiftly responded by highlighting a 2019 tweet in which she expressed openness to eating beef and other meats, asserting that dietary choices do not have to be tied to religion. Critics labeled her as inconsistent, arguing that her previous comments about consuming red meat contradicted her recent assertions. However, some fans came to her defense, claiming she hadn't done anything wrong.
One user commented, “No true Hindu will ever eat or endorse beef like you did,” while another remarked, “Liar! Explain how you were openly supporting beef a few years ago.”
